Are Horoscopes And Psychics Dangerous?

Yes, horoscopes and psychics are dangerous because they are deeply rooted in the occult. Furthermore, individuals performing or engaging in psychic or paranormal activities automatically give demons permission and access into their lives by default. This involvement can lead to demonic oppression and, in many cases, possession for those who are not born-again.

Reading horoscopes or visiting psychics are not the only occultic practices to avoid at all costs. Others include watching paranormal-related documentaries, movies, and reality television programs, using Ouija boards, visiting fortune-tellers, having your palms read, attending seances, dabbling in magic arts, voodoo, or witchcraft, or engaging in spellcasting or telepathy, even if it is “just for fun.”

The power behind each of these paranormal practices is demonic despite its “harmless appearance.” Likewise, individuals who perform or provide these services are inspired or empowered by evil spirits, knowingly or unknowingly. Satan’s ultimate goal through these activities is to lead people away from Jesus into spiritual destruction once they open themselves up to his deceptive world of darkness, using the façade of obtaining futuristic or supernatural knowledge to accomplish it.

Believers must not be fooled by these demonic deceptions or engage in any paranormal enticements (click here for Scripture references). Rather, they have direct access to God for acquiring knowledge, wisdom, discernment, direction, information, and instruction. They also have His written Word, the Bible, which is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Additionally, they possess the indwelling Holy Spirit, who is their Helper, Guide, Counselor, Comforter, and Teacher.

Christians have everything they need to understand Jesus' plan and will for their lives, and they also possess the power necessary to faithfully accomplish it. 2 Peter 1:2-3 says, “His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” Therefore, engaging in paranormal activities for any reason is strictly prohibited in Scripture.

I hope this information is helpful and encourages you to avoid all forms of astrological, paranormal, and psychic activities. By warning others of their dangers, you can help them do the same.
